Melbourne-born Max Olsen is a contemporary artist whose practice combines the traditions of ceramics with modern technology.
Embedding cryptic personal narratives and memories into his vessels in the form of coding scripts, his work explores the subjective nature of memory, perception and how recollections shift and distort over time.
Having initially worked under celebrated Australian artist Ted Secombe, Max has expanded from his early crystalline glaze works and continues to explore new avenues of making. His work is held in private collections across Australia and Europe.
